Managing Early Surgical Menopause at 34 years old....

We have recently met an incredibly brave and motivated woman, Amanda Waters, who is talking openly about her challenges with endometriosis which eventually led to her having a surgical menopause. 1 in 10 women will experience this condition, which has no cure and can take up to 8 YEARS to diagnose.

In her blog Amanda talks about the effects on her life such as sleeping 14-16 hours a day and how her relationship broke down.  Amanda was 34 when she underwent a full hysterectomy which brought on its own mental health challenges including the grief associated with loss of fertility.

Amanda’s story highlights how younger women can experience menopause which is another important menopause message to share.
