Introducing our Talking Menopause Champion Network

With 1 in 10 women leaving their job due to menopausal symptoms, and a third reporting that their symptoms affect them greatly at work, menopause education in the workplace is becoming increasingly more important.

Since Talking Menopause launched in 2017, we have worked relentlessly to help thousands of employees, at hundreds of organisations, feel more confident in talking about menopause, and supporting menopausal colleagues at work. We have, and continue to support organisations in making a positive cultural change to make menopause a priority in the workplace.

In 2018 we launched our Menopause Champion training to assist organisations to maintain their focus and conversations around menopause. We are excited to announce the next subsequent step of menopause education – The Champion Network.

The Champion Network

The Champion Network is a chance for different organisations and like-minded individuals to come together for continuous learning around menopause. It’s a great network opportunity for the sharing of best practice, solutions, and ideas to keep the menopause conversation going within the workplace. Being a member of this network will support an organisations commitment to maintaining a menopause confident workplace!

The network includes a wide range of membership benefits, such as quarterly masterclasses including guest speakers, bi-monthly drop-in sessions, guidance and coaching, and access to lots of useful resources – plus lots more!

Joining the network is an opportunity that is available to individuals that have completed the Talking Menopause Champion Training. Read more about the training here:

Menopause Champion Training

Our Talking Menopause Champion training programme is for workplace volunteers who have an interest in supporting their colleagues. It will equip champions with the tools and knowledge related to menopause to best support the organisation at all levels, it will ensure that the conversation around menopause is maintained, and help to achieve a menopause confident workplace.

Through two training sessions, champions will:

·       Proactively seek opportunities to raise awareness of menopause in the workplace.

·       Be a single point of contact, supporting and signposting employees and managers

·       Seek opportunities, and facilitate open and engaging conversations around menopause

·       Consider the workplace environment, identifying potential development opportunities.
